The Air sources heat pumps uses ambient temperature to heat water, no pollution & cheaper operation cost.
The main parts of the heat pumps are Evaporator, Heat Exchanger and compressor. The low temperature , low pressure refrigerator in the liquid state is made to pass through the evaporator where it absorbs heat from the ambient air and vaporises. This Gaseous refrigerant is passed through a compressor where it is compressed to very high pressure. Since temperature is directly proportional to pressure the temperature of the refrigerant also increases, this high temperature , high pressure refrigerant is passed through a heat exchanger where will be flowing in the counter directions, Hence the water absorbs the refrigerant's temperature and the water is heated. The refrigerant is passed through an expansion valve to reduce its pressure as well and the cycle continues.

The heat pump works by taking heat and using it to heat low pressure liquid refrigerant in the heat pump's evaporator vaporizing. Tha liquid refrigerant then passes through the Compressor which raises the refrigerant pressure and thus the temperature as well.
